Social networks are taking off! Recently, online communities have received excellent valuations - MySpace was acquired for $580 M and Facebook turned down an offer of 750+ M.
Our company, SchoolParentNet, meets the needs of an underserved and very large parent community (75M+ parents in the U.S. alone). We enable family-to-family networking around real world communities - local schools and organizations such as soccer clubs, mothers clubs, etc.
We are seeking to add a CTO to our Silicon Valley team. This is an excellent entrepreneurial opportunity, which will allow you to get in very early and add value to an operating team, with a product and significant user traction.
* Responsible for architecture and product development
* Lead development team in India
* Requires hands-on development, code release, testing at least in the early stages
* Proficient with XHTML/CSS, Javascript, AJAX, PHP
* Prior experience in development of large-scale, consumer web applications
